Internet Overboard?!
Are we educators getting carried away with all the latest trends in IT--like blogging? Is it becoming more important than English and the skills of reading and writing that we are trying to teach? Do you think it's still possible to teach "low tech" or "no tech" style?

Activity for the Last Five Minutes of Class
What do you do when you have some time at the end of class? Please post a successful, short activity that you use to end the class on the right note. It can be a fun activity like a game or competition or an educational activity, but remember you don't have too much time. Don't forget to indicate how much time the activity/game will take.
After you post your idea to this prompt, feel free to post a response to other people's ideas to give them feedback.
Welcome IC English Teachers
Greetings International College English Teachers!
Welcome to the world of Educational blogging. The purpose of this blog is to model a blog, practice blogging, and to provide IC English teachers a medium to share the great things we are doing in the classroom at IC.
Though this website was created for the March in-service workshop on blogging, we will continue to use it throughout the school year as a tool for sharing, so please bookmark this website now.
Someone from the English department will post a prompt or idea related to teaching English at IC around every two weeks or so. All English teachers (middle school and high school) are welcome to post a response to the prompt as well as others from the Internet community.
I hope you find this blog to be a useful way to share great teaching practices. Carpe Diem!
